Naked Vacation - Vegas

One of the new little perks of my job is that every time I train a new manager I get to take a week off and let that person run my store on there own.  So what to do , what to do with my extra week.

Off to Vegas!!!!!   Now I feel a little gulity since JP is home working, but all in all it was a good week.  I may have lost some cash but fun was had!

The highlight of the trip however may have been my early morning drive through Valley of Fire State Park.   Valley of Fire State Park is Nevada's oldest state park and features a beautiful rich red landscape in its rock formation.

Naked Date Night with Margaret Cho

Piper and I try to have date night at least once a week.   This week we had the pleasure of going to see stand up comic Margaret Cho at the Laughing Skull Lounge here in Atlanta.   The Laughing Skull is located on Peachtree street inside of one of the city's most iconic restaurant/bars, the Vortex  (Tatar Tot's thats all I am saying!!!!)

You might remember Margaret Cho from her sitcom All American Girl, or from her role on Drop Dead Diva.  Which films locally in Peachtree City.    In an ironic twist of fate, one of the boys in front of us was from Peachtree City and he and his partner made signs.   Now, this venue is small....very small (maybe 100 people) and the boys with the signs in the front row really stuck out.  She even invited them an the signs on stage.  Now mind you, she did say that she was going to masturbate and cum all over the signs......too funny!

Needless to say she was very personable and engaging with the crowd.  This was our third time seeing her stand up live (the previous two were at the Tabernacle in Atlanta ) and we both felt this one was the best.  She was hilariously funny and so so personable with the audience.   If Margaret Cho comes to your area and is playing a smaller venue get a tickets, such a good time!

Naked lunch - Elevation Chop House - Kennesaw, GA

Yesterday, after taking my partner suit shopping ( long story there for another day) we headed over to Elevation Chop House at McCollum Airport in Kennesaw,GA. The thrill here is surely the atmosphere of being able to watch the planes take off and land. However, the food and service were great as well. I had a black and blue burger that was excellent and piper had the BBQ platter. Check it out if you arei n the Kennesaw area.

Naked Pets: Buster Francis

Ahh....the pets.  Isn't he just look adorable.  This is Buster Francis, one of our three fur babies, along with Murphy Brown, a  75lb boxer pit mix and Fugazi an orange tabby.   Now, I show you this picture of Buster Francis when he was a kitten to prove to your that pictures are deceptive.  Buster Francis looks like an innocent kitten but really he is the owner of our home.  He a very demanding boy and most of the time gets his way.  I'll introduce you to the rest of the pets in the next few days.

Naked News: Jennifer Nettles Solo Album

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles is releasing a solo album.

Nettles says Friday in a news release that she is working with Rick Rubin and will release the album later this year.

Rumours that Nettles would release a solo album have been prevalent for a while. Grammy Award-winning Sugarland includes Kristian Bush and is one of country music's most successful and honoured acts. The duo remains together, but each is working solo currently.

The news comes six months after the 38-year-old singer had her first child, a son, with husband Justin Miller.

Nettles says in the release she is "absolutely thrilled and wholly proud" to work with Rubin, an acclaimed producer who helped country act The Dixie Chicks win a best album Grammy.

My thoughts:  At first glance of this today, my gut reaction was .....oh no the end of a good thing.....as I am a big fan of Sugarland  (gotta support the home town team sometimes).   Then I thought about it for a while, in terms of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks.  Stevie has had a wonderful solo career apart from Fleetwood and some magical albums have come of it.   So good for you Jennifer, best of luck in this outlet of creativity!

Naked Adventure - Blue Ridge, GA

Today was an excellent day.  We decided to take a day trip about an hour and a half north of our home in Marietta, GA to Blue Ridge, GA. Blue Ridge is a sleepy little tourist town nestled in the mountains.  The main excursion on our adventure was to ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway.

The railway restores old railroad cars from around the country.  The trip itself consists of a 13 mile track north to the town of McCraysville, GA/Copper Hill, TN.  (be warned both are small small towns in the south and are very conservative).  Our car was #405 and was from the Boston and Maine Line.

The town of Blue Ridge also features a main street and quaint shops, as well as many apple and fresh fruit orchards in the area.
